Keep in mind, that promoting a brand new forum is not an easy task. You have to put a lot of time and effor in it, and it still takes time.

Dan, It sure looks like your forum idea is a resounding success! I’m impressed by the amount of traffic you’ve gotten in the short time the forum has been up and running. Is it taking a lot of time to moderate the posts? Do you do it yourself or do you have someone else on the case? On the one hand you want people to be able to post things and have them show up quickly, but on the other hand you can’t be tied to your computer all day or you’d never list or show a property again!

real estate blogs are spreading out quickly in every link and i can see maximum of real estate blogs only and love to visit also but the one draw back is that i do not see any complete or part of lands or real estate pictures on the page.

Cool idea . My brother recently moved to Brandon and picked up a real estate license. I’m going to tell him to check you guys out.

Forums that allow links in signature posts (like this one) are also decent for search engine optimization if you post a lot.

Marketing is so important these days. A forum to keep your clients updated is a great idea

Ash June 19, 2009 at 9:10 am

Finding different ways to get our product on the market is the only way we real estate guys can survive these days.

I think your idea of a forum for Tampa real estate agents is a proactive idea. Sad to say, most agents are unaware how to harness the internet to generate qualified leads. I wish you ultimate success in making this forum wirk for real estate industry professionals.

Did you hear about the Senate extending the $8,000 home buyer tax credit?

I have tried this. You just have to be on top of the spammers. They will eat your forum alive once they find it.

Sam in St. George October 14, 2009 at 10:13 pm

Good luck with the forum. Last time I tried that the spammers > Me for sure. Then again I didnt have time to moderate daily like I needed to.

DeWitt Homes October 19, 2009 at 9:28 am

I like the idea. I may try to implement it for my area. Not sure if I have enough time to moderate it well enough to stop spammers though. Are you having much of an issue with it?

Pete October 21, 2009 at 2:42 pm

Good headstart. You’ll need some good spam policies in place as one of your forum marketing strategies. That way you will be able survive the onslaught of notorious spammers. The average forum spammer will eventually come to their senses and be more participative if avenues are open for them to show what they have on their sites. eg. enabling signatures, do follow links, etc.

Good luck with your forum Dan.

Great idea to have such a forum. I will refer my followers to it. The link does not seem to work properly though.

Just looking round the real estate blogs for tips. Do you think your facebook group does anything for your business?

I really like the idea. Your blog is very informative. I am having trouble getting to the Tampa Real Estate Forums. I keep getting the 404 not found from your link. Send me an email if the url has changed.
