Here we are almost two years later and the amount of foreclosures is still crazy. Kansas City MLS is finally getting close to letting the agents sort by whether a house is a foreclosure or short sale. Pretty slow to adopt to the reality of how things are, but at least it is a step in the right direction. Thank you for your post.

Kudos, Pres. Obama. Tenants do need protection too. I've heard of a handful of them being unfairly treated by landlords. The lack of protection for tenants may have actually encouraged such landlords to do as they pleased.

At least something in their favor too. It's better to see that the tenants are heading to some better times.

This was a great thing to help protect tenants from irresponsible landlords. 90 days should be enough time for them to find a new place to live.

This can be so helpful for tenants - and it's fair. In Florida there is not so much protection for tenants as for landlords it seems, and as a rental property owner, I can appreciate that, it needs to be balanced in favor of tenants who keep up their rent and take care of their homes.

I have friends in Kern county who have had to try and collect keys from folks that shouldn't have had to leave their homes yet. It is really sad. These laws are in place to protect families that aren't as fortunate as us. This is the first step and at least it is giving them time.

Really important topic as with some notice, these generally good people, will be able to find a place to live, apartment, another home, whatever rather than have the rug pulled out from under them at no fault of their own. Good topic to write on, I know it was a while ago but the point is still there.
