Cool blog. I’ve been making search buttons like yours lately, and had a problem with the white background showing up like yours does (at least in FF). I got around it by trying different formats on the picture until it showed up correctly. Sometimes you need to leave more space between the text and button as well. PNG and JPEGS have worked out well. Nice work though, the blog looks great.
